‘Un-Islamic marriage’: Pakistan court issues warrant against Bollywood actress
The district and session court Lahore directed the police to produce her before the court on next hearing on September 17.

A Pakistani court today issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against controversial actress Meera, who has also worked in Indian films, over her "illegal and un-Islamic marriage".
The district and session court Lahore directed the police to produce her before the court on next hearing on September 17.
Petitioner Attiquer Rehman, who married Meera in 2011, told the court that she has tied the knot with another man (Capt. Navid) without divorcing him, which is not only illegal but un-Islamic.
He said Meera had committed a 'grave sin' and should be punished accordingly.
"Meera is still my wife and without getting divorce, she cannot enter a second marriage under the Sharia law," Rehman pleaded.
Meera married the airlines captain in 2012, who later divorced her following the appearance of a sex video on social media of his with Meera.
A petition was subsequently filed in the Lahore's session court that ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to register a case against Meera and Navid for earning a bad name for the nation.
However, the FIA inquiry has been pending for the last one year.
The actress has starred in films like "Nazar" and "Kasak" in India.
