Wafaq al Madaris al Shia Pakistan has appealed to media and political parties to support army and the government in the war against terrorism and refrain from portraying the terrorists as hero. Wafaq al Madaris has expressed its concern over a disputed program “Nuqta e Nazar” which presented distorted realities and sympathized with the leader of terrorist organization Lashkar e Jhangvi, Malik Ishaq. According to the Wafaq, the program was not based on realities and was a deliberate plan to sabotage the National action plan. They have asked PEMRA and security agencies to take notice of this conspiracy.
According to the interpreter of Wafaq al Madaris, it has now become an open secret, that the group Lashkar e Jhangvi had confessed itself, they used to publish derogatory material about Sahaba (r.a) with the name of Shias for the purpose of spreading hatred and to fulfill American agenda. The anchor of afore mentioned program unnecessarily linked Iran-Iraq war and disputed books with the terrorist’s activities. The interpreter said that the differences between Shia and Sunni sects and disputed books have been centuries old and issues are also present in India but we cannot find people there who support terrorists like Riyaz Basra and Mail Ishaq.
In the letter, that was sent by Wafaq al Madaris along with the cuttings of different newspapers, the incident of 1997 has also been reminded in which eight Iranian diplomats were killed and when SSP Ashraf Marth exposed the real face of Mailk Ishaq and presented several American credit cards that were confiscated from him, the SSP was martyred. With reference to the news published in 5th March 1997’s newspapers, it has also been said in the letter that it was Malik Ishaq, who used to publish derogatory material regrading Sahaba (r.a) with the name of Shias in order to promote hatred and anger. He was also charged with “Toheen e Risalat”. Therefore, the security agencies should take notice of showing sympathy and respect to a terrorist like Malik Ishaq. This act is against the National Action Plan and is a part of the greater conspiracy to portray the terrorists as heroes.
With regard to the disputed books, the interpreter mentioned the advertisement published by the Punjab government in 1998 and then on 8 May 2015 which clearly stated that of 150 books and CDs, only few are linked with Shia sect while all others belong to the writers of other sects.
