A youth was injured during after being hit by pellets during a clash between protesters and government forces in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district in south Kashmir.
The youth, who was not immediately identified, was evacuated to a hospital.
Earlier, CRPF men allegedly thrashed a mentally challenged person in Bijbehara area.
Clashes broke out in the area today morning with youth defying curfew-like restrictions to demonstrate against the killing of Zahid Rasool Bhat.
Bhat succumbed to his injuries sustained during a petrol bomb attack by a mob on a truck he was sleeping in Udhampur on Oct 9.
