Yasin Malik placed under house arrest on eve of Sep 7 flood anniversary
Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik was put under house arrest late Sunday evening, a spokesman of the outfit said.
Malik, who had earlier supported a strike call of Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) was scheduled to participate in a function being organised by a traders' body at Lal Chowk on Monday.
The spokesman said that a heavy posse of policemen arrived at the residence of Malik and informed him of his arrest at around 9:20 pm.
