Srinagar:
Reacting sharply to Udhampur incident, in which some fanatic elements hurled a petrol bomb on a Kashmir-bound truck, injuring two men, senior Hurriyat (M) leader and Chairman JKLF (H) Javaid Ahmad Mir today said, need of the hour is to show strong resistance against communal forces.
“If communal forces want to do so, we have the option of Rawalpindi road,” he said, adding, all impediments in this regard should be removed.
He said, “They (communal forces) are hell bent to divide the Jammu Kashmir and the irony is ruling regime is encouraging them and not taking any action against these forces, under whom a conspiracy is being hatched to divert the attention of movement.”
He said the “atrocities committed by communal forces” with the help of ruling dispensation are worst and glaring example of Human Rights Violations in Kashmir.
He added, international communities should take notice of all such things.
Javaid Mir said, “Massive military presence and draconian laws cannot deter the people from continuing their just struggle for the basic right of self determination. Even though political space in Kashmir is being choked day-in and day-out, and Hurriyat leaders are being arrested and detained, our struggle against oppression and suppression will continue.”
